Philip is an avid supporter of the performing arts. He is a governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company and was commissioned to photograph their patron, Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales, on several occasions, including his royal visit to the United States with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Philip is also a member of the National Committee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, representing Washington, DC. He has photographed many performers at the Kennedy Center, as well as the Miami City Ballet and their artistic director, Edward Villella.

Additionally, Philip has photographed Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Andre Previn, Denyce Graves, Eva Marton, and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, along with over 500 individual portraits of the principal singers of the Washington National Opera for eight seasons.
